Project Background: As a renowned enterprise in the glass manufacturing sector, Jiangsu Kaisheng maintains extremely high standards for both the volume and quality of its glass products. The glass melting furnace is the beating heart of their production line, directly dictating production efficiency and energy consumption. To further boost capacity and extend the furnace’s campaign life, Jiangsu Kaisheng selected Yongyi as their comprehensive service provider for refractory materials and construction in this new build/upgrade project.

Project Challenges: Glass melting furnaces operate in extreme continuous high-temperature environments exceeding 1500°C, facing severe scouring from molten glass and intense chemical erosion from alkaline vapors. Any flaw in the refractory materials or deviation in construction joints can lead to glass leakage or shortened furnace life, resulting in massive downtime losses. The client required a comprehensive furnace solution capable of resisting intense erosion while ensuring perfect structural integrity and sealing.

Premium Product Supply (Customized Anti-Erosion Solutions): Tailored to the specific working conditions of different furnace zones, Yongyi supplied highly matched, premium-quality refractory materials. For the most severely eroded areas, such as the melting basin walls, we provided Fused Cast AZS Blocks with dense structures and exceptional resistance to molten glass erosion. We supplied high-quality Silica Bricks for the furnace crown, and high-purity Basic Refractories (e.g., high-purity magnesia bricks) for the regenerator to effectively resist alkaline vapor attack and ensure long-term, stable heat exchange.

Professional Construction Services (Refined Masonry Craftsmanship): “30% materials, 70% construction.” Yongyi dispatched an expert construction team with years of experience in glass melting furnaces to the Jiangsu Kaisheng site. We strictly controlled mortar fullness and joint dimensions. In critical stages—such as basin wall assembly, crown masonry, and the stacking of regenerator checker bricks—we implemented rigorous measurement and verification protocols.
